Review: Rocco DeLuca at Spaceland Last Night

Silverlake, CA — Rocco DeLuca delivers a powerful performance.  A spiritual experience, with gospel-laden blues and
Ryan provided great rhythm and beats on the cajon and a cocktail set repectively.  Brett Bixby opened up accoustically,
accompanying himself
by on-the-spot loop recording beats on his guitar and record-like scratching of his strings.  Rocco was also joined by friends
for a few acapela
vocal harmonizations that made you want to repent of your sins.  Well, almost.  Great show, but if you missed it don’t cry because he is playing
a series of dates coming up (see below).

New Music Tuesday Featuring Buddy Guy & John Mayer, Coldplay

Ok, so it’s Tuesday and we have some new music.  This one is special though.  The long awaited new track from Coldplay titled Violet Hill is available for free at "" target="_blank">Coldplay’s website.  Simply enter your email and postal code and they email it to you.

And if that weren’t enough to get you going they are playing two free shows in June, one in London and the other at MSG in New York. More details will be announced on their site later.

Buddy Guy’s new track, “I’d rather be blind, crippled, and crazy” features John Mayer on guitar.  Wow, this is awesome, two of the best
living guitarists collaborating.  Buddy Guy has also released a box set that is definitely a must have.

Enjoy the new music and keep rockin’!

Scott Weiland Sentencing of 8 days in County Jail for DUI.

Los Angeles, CA – Lead singer of STP, Scott Weiland
has been sentenced to 8 days in county jail for a DUI arrest back in November.
He is also required to complete an 18-month alcohol school program.  The probation will be a 4-year period.  It was considered a misdemeanor
and his second offense.  He refused a breath, urine, or blood test, however failed the field test according to the "_blank">police report.  The kicker is that he has to pay $2k+ in fees after already paying $40k to post bail.

Phone calls were not immediately returned.

Review: Rocco Deluca and the Burden @ Spaceland Tuesday Night

For the sake of all things good I hope you were there.  Rocco delivered a mesmerizing acoustic (well ok almost-acoustic) set that was truely awesome.  And as a special treat, he broke out with a new song from the recently recorded album.  Ryan Carman accompanied Rocco on the caj√≥n, which provided a very cool acoustic…

David Ryan Harris, Saturday 4/12 at the Temple Bar — Review

Wow, David was on fire with the guitar and had the place rockin’.  The usual suspects were accompanying him, Sean Hurley on bass, Michael Chaves on guitar, and not-so-usual Aaron Sterling on drums.  John Mayer was in the house as well as Guy Sebastian.  Apparently Guy and David are doing some collaborative songwriting. Also spotted…
