The third annual SUNSET STRIP MUSIC FESTIVAL (SSMF) set for Aug. 26-28, 2010, has finalized its 2010 outdoor line-up for the Saturday, August 28 street closure with the additions of hip-hop
breakthrough artist KID CUDI and TRAVIE MCCOY, whose hit single “Billionaire” has been No. 3 on the Billboard Pop Songs chart and a top 5 Billboard Hot 100 track in recent weeks. Performing on two
stages are headliners THE SMASHING PUMPKINS; 2010 honoree SLASH featuring MYLES KENNEDY and an appearance by FERGIE; COMMON; SEMI PRECIOUS WEAPONS; STEEL PANTHER; NEON TREES; BIG B and more.

SOUNDSTRIKE ARTISTS RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE, CONOR OBERST AND THE MYSTIC VALLEY BAND TO PLAY HISTORIC CONCERT TO BENEFIT ARIZONA ORGANIZATIONS FIGHTING SB 1070

LOS ANGELES, CA: In their first concert in their hometown of Los Angeles in 10 years, Rage Against the Machine will take the stage at the Hollywood Palladium on July 23rd, 2010 to support
organizations combating SB 1070, law set to go into
effect July 29th. Projected proceeds from the concert along with donations raised by The Sound Strike Fund are expected to exceed
over $300,000. This will provide much needed resources to community organizations, student groups, legal defense funds and assist activists targeting key voting districts for voter registration.
These two organizations need immediate assistance to fight SB1070 on the ground: Puente, Arizona, and The Florence
Project

Puente, Arizona has been recognized as an organization that has stood on the frontlines in the struggle for civil and human rights in Arizona for years.

The third annual SUNSET STRIP MUSIC FESTIVAL (SSMF), set for Aug. 26-28, 2010, has announced 2010 honoree SLASH will perform with FERGIE and MYLES KENNEDY–two of the vocalists on Slash’s
self-titled album, which topped the charts as the #1 rock album and #3 on the Billboard Top 200 list in its first week of release–during the Saturday, August 28 outdoor street festival. Organizers
also announced COMMON, SEMI PRECIOUS WEAPONS, NEON TREES, BIG B, and STEEL PANTHER have been added to the street festival lineup that is being headlined by the previously announced Smashing
Pumpkins.

As they launch their summer tour of intimate venues tonight at the House of Blues in Cleveland (July 6), THE SMASHING PUMPKINS have released their fifth free track, “Freak.”  The song–with
its deep rhythm groove and red hot guitar lines–arrives today at radio and is available for free download, with no strings attached, at the band’s website: target="_blank">www.smashingpumpkins.com.
 
“Freak” is part of the iconic band’s in-progress 44-song work TEARGARDEN BY KALEIDYSCOPE, with songs being issued online one at a time for free (4-song physical EPs will be made available as the
